Joshua Amirthasingh
Joshua's work captures stories steeped in nostalgia, inspired by Edward Hopper's compositions, a vibrant Indian childhood, and cinematic storytelling. Using analog film, he embraces a deliberate process that mirrors the introspection of reminiscing. In San Francisco, he seeks quiet moments where golden hour light and ethereal fog transform the city into a character within his narratives. His photographs invite viewers to explore the interplay between the familiar and the unexpected, sparking their own reflective journeys.
Joshua's debut monograph, Tales from the City (Nazraeli Press, 2025), was released to a limited first edition of 1,000 copies which is now nearly sold out.
